6 Days - Esna / Aswan Every Tuesday
Day 1: Esna – Embarkation & Temple of Khnum

Begin your adventure in Esna, around 33 miles south of Luxor. Here, you'll board Meroe Dahabiya and meet the welcoming crew. Esna is a vibrant merchant town, best known for the Temple of Khnum, which sits 9 meters below the current street level. You'll take a short guided walk to this ancient site, followed by a stroll through bustling markets filled with textiles and local treasures. Enjoy your first night onboard, gently moored along the riverbank.

Meals Included: Lunch, Dinner

Day 2: El Kab & Edfu – Temples and Village Walks

Sail to El Kab, once the capital of Upper Egypt and home to the Temple of Nekhbet. Upon arrival, take a scenic walk through a traditional fishing village to explore fascinating tombs carved into the mountainside.

In the afternoon, arrive at Edfu, where you’ll visit the magnificent Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. Travel there by horse-drawn carriage through the vibrant city streets. After the visit, continue sailing toward a peaceful island for a scenic overnight stop.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Sail & Swim – Nile Bliss and Desert Wonders

Spend the day sailing along the Nile, enjoying the gentle pace and beautiful scenery from the sundeck. After an optional morning walk and a relaxed breakfast, you'll dock at a tranquil island for a swim or a casual stroll.

As the sun sets, there's a chance to explore a nearby desert valley lined with boulders covered in ancient hieroglyphs and prehistoric rock art — once the starting point of the 28-day trail to Libya. Your evening ends moored beside the illuminated Gebel Silsileh Temple, a magical sight under the stars.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4: Gebel Silsileh – Quarries and Hidden Temples

Wake up at the narrowest stretch of the Nile, nestled between two mountain ranges. Visit the rarely seen Temple of Horemheb and explore the massive sandstone quarries that supplied stone for Egypt’s greatest temples.

Later, sail further south to a picturesque spot along the riverbank where you’ll stop for lunch, relaxation, and perhaps another refreshing swim.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5: Kom Ombo – Crocodile Gods and Mummies

Your journey continues to Kom Ombo, beautifully positioned on a bend of the Nile. Visit the unique double temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris.

After exploring the site, enjoy a visit to the Crocodile Museum, featuring an astonishing collection of mummified crocodiles and ancient artifacts. In the afternoon, sail toward Aswan and spend your final night under the stars.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6: Aswan – Disembarkation

As the Meroe Dahabiya approaches Aswan, take in the stunning desert landscapes framing the riverbanks. After breakfast, disembark and transfer to your desired location in Aswan.
