In the afternoon, arrive in Edfu, home to one of the most magnificent and best-preserved temples in Egypt—the Temple of Horus. A horse-drawn carriage will take you through Edfu’s lively streets to reach this Greco-Roman masterpiece. After your visit, return to your Dahabiya for sunset sailing to a quiet island, where the boat moors for the night.

Today is dedicated to pure river bliss. Begin with an optional early morning walk, followed by a leisurely breakfast on deck. As your luxury Dahabiya Nile cruise sails south, enjoy uninterrupted views of the riverbanks and distant desert hills.
In the afternoon, the boat stops at a Nile island, where you can take a walk, swim in the river, or simply relax under the sun. As dusk falls, you may explore a desert valley marked with prehistoric rock inscriptions and ancient hieroglyphs—once part of a trade route that led to Libya.

Day 4: Gebel el Silsila – Lost Temples and Sacred Quarries
Arrive early at Gebel el Silsila, where the Nile narrows dramatically between sandstone cliffs. This spiritual and historic site was once a major source of stone for Egypt's grand temples. Large cruise ships can’t stop here, so you'll often have it all to yourself.
Visit the Temple of Horemheb, then walk among the ancient quarries that supplied the building blocks of Karnak and Luxor. Later, sail to a scenic riverbank for a swim and lunch, continuing your tranquil voyage through Egypt’s most untouched landscapes.

Day 5: Kom Ombo – Temple of the Nile’s Guardians
After a serene night under the stars, awaken to a new destination—Kom Ombo, beautifully set on a bend of the Nile. Explore the unique double temple, dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. This symmetrical temple features fascinating reliefs, healing depictions, and Nile-related symbolism.
Afterward, visit the Crocodile Museum, home to dozens of mummified crocodiles that reflect the ancient reverence for this powerful creature. Return to your Dahabiya for one last sail beneath the sunset sky.

Sail quietly into Aswan, where the golden desert presses close to the riverbanks. While the overnight docking point is less scenic than previous stops, the experience of your journey—its serenity, history, and luxury—remains unforgettable.
