- April 25 – Sinai Liberation Day. A fixed-date national public holiday (a Sunday in 2027). Since 2020 Egypt has often moved mid-week national holidays to the nearest Thursday, so check the official decree.
- Coptic Holy Week. Coptic Easter Sunday is May 2, 2027, so Holy Week falls at the end of April.
- Khamsin season. Wikipedia says the khamsin typically arrives in April. On April 3, 2026, all Nile and Lake Nasser navigation at Aswan was halted for a severe dust storm.
