In Egypt you'll explore Cairo and the Pyramids of Giza, fly south to Aswan for the temples of Philae and Abu Simbel, and sail the Nile on a relaxed cruise past Kom Ombo, Edfu and the wonders of Luxor, with a day trip to Alexandria along the way.

Day 1
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
On arrival at Cairo International Airport, an Egypt Top Tours representative will welcome you and assist with the formalities before a private air-conditioned vehicle takes you to your hotel. After check-in and a welcome drink, you'll go over your 13-day itinerary and confirm the pick-up times for each day. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2
Day 2: Pyramids and Cairo Sightseeing
After breakfast, your guide takes you to the Giza Plateau for the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, the enigmatic Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Following lunch at a local restaurant, explore the Egyptian Museum, home to the golden treasures of the boy-king Tutankhamun and thousands of other antiquities. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3
Day 3: Fly from Cairo to Aswan
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan, where your guide meets you for a day of sightseeing. Cross the Nile by boat to Agilkia Island and the graceful Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis and rescued from the rising waters behind the High Dam, which you'll also visit. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 4
Day 4: Abu Simbel & Nile Cruise Embarkation
After breakfast, drive about three and a half hours to the majestic Abu Simbel Temples, the crowning achievement of Ramesses II — the Great Temple dedicated to the gods Ptah, Ra-Horakhty and Amun-Ra, and the smaller temple of Queen Nefertari. Return to Aswan and embark your Nile cruise for lunch, dinner and an overnight on board.

Day 5
Day 5: Kom Ombo & Edfu – Nile Cruise
Enjoy breakfast as the ship sails to Kom Ombo and its unusual double temple honouring the gods Sobek and Haroeris. After exploring its symmetrical halls, reboard and cruise on to Edfu — with lunch served on board — to visit the beautifully preserved Temple of Horus. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 6
Day 6: Luxor West Bank – Nile Cruise
Sail on to Luxor over breakfast, then explore the West Bank — the great royal necropolis of the Valley of the Kings, resting place of dozens of pharaohs; the striking mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut; and the towering Colossi of Memnon that have guarded the plain for millennia. Return to your cruise for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7
Day 7: Luxor East Bank – Fly to Cairo
After breakfast you disembark to discover Luxor's East Bank, beginning with the immense Karnak Temple and its famous Hypostyle Hall of giant columns, added to by pharaohs across the centuries, followed by the elegant Luxor Temple. Later, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 8
Day 8: Alexandria Day Tour from Cairo
After breakfast, set out for a full day in Alexandria on the Mediterranean. Descend into the Roman Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, admire the towering Pompey's Pillar, and after lunch visit the seafront Qaitbay Citadel and the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a tribute to the fabled ancient Library of Alexandria. Return to Cairo for the night. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 9
Day 9: Fly to Casablanca – Welcome to Morocco
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Casablanca. On arrival at Mohammed V Airport, your driver welcomes you and takes you to your hotel in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Enjoy dinner and a relaxing overnight in Casablanca.

Day 10
Day 10: Casablanca & Rabat – Transfer to Marrakech
After breakfast, explore Casablanca — its lively medina of markets and crafts, the stately Royal Palace and the landmark Hassan II Mosque on the Atlantic — before admiring the city's elegant Art Deco streets. Continue to the capital, Rabat, for its imperial highlights, then travel on to Marrakech. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 11: Marrakech Exploration
A full day discovering Marrakech begins after breakfast at the enchanting Majorelle Garden, created by the painter Jacques Majorelle, followed by the tranquil Menara Gardens with their olive groves and reflecting pool. Admire the landmark Koutoubia Mosque and end the day amid the colour and energy of the Jamaa El Fna square. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 12: Marrakech to Casablanca

Day 13: Departure Day
